The Office of the Ombudsperson is an independent, impartial, and confidential resource for members of the University of Victoria community. The Ombudsperson helps resolve problems or disputes fairly. The ombudsperson can:

• help you understand your options and rights
• coach you in constructive ways of raising an issue
• facilitate communication or problem-solve
• assist in the use of appeal procedures
• investigate and make recommendations
